No Compromise

“Compromise is when you do a little less than what you ought to do”. Joyce Meyer
A little less here and a little less there, and before you know it, you are far away from the right path. The song ‘Slow Fade’ by Casting Crown explains that people never crumble in a day, but that they start from the little compromises they make, which in a subtle way erases the difference between black and white, making it gray.

Dream Again

“The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do.” Sarahben Breathnach

I remember as a little girl i wanted to become a doctor, pharmacist, pilot, dentist, lawyer etc. I had so many dreams and I saw nothing stopping me. I guess many children grow up with such big or even bigger dreams.

Unhealthly Competition... by Modupe Adedoyin

I was jogging one day and I noticed a person in front of me, about a quarter mile ahead. I could tell he was running a little slower
than me and I thought, good, I would try to catch up with him. I had about a mile to go on my path before I needed to turn off.

So I started running faster and faster.

Still Climbing…

Articulate, focused, enthusiastic and having a beautiful mind with the eagerness of growth. For me an emergence; a revolutionary! That fits the description of my new friend Oluwaseun*.

If you've been positively challenged or encountered a knowledge seeker and you are stretched you will be left with a choice – to keep moving! Recently I was able to evaluate my progress in terms of speed and resolved not only to put speed on my climbing but to keep exploring other mountains.

Most of us would remember our childhood days we were very inquisitive that some of our parents or guardians would technically dodge some of the probing questions we threw at them. Unfortunately they can only give what they have. If you don’t have it then start climbing!  By climbing I mean a deliberate decision to see that in every area of your live {Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Business, Career, Academics, Martially etc.} you are improving daily.

I know many of us are already climbing. I understand that some of us are at different plateaus in our climbing process.  I also believe that we are on different mountains by the reason of individual needs.

Growth is progressive as climbing is progressive. Let me share some few insights:
§   Climbing is a choice – To Climb or Not to Climb.
§   You must look up to climb – Be dissatisfied with where you are. This is not the best I can be, I can be better.
§   You must set a goal for yourself – How high do I want to go?
§   You must shed some weight {distractions etc.} as you climb – The higher you climb the lighter you must become.
§   You must not lose focus – Be persistent, tenacious and endure hardness.
§   You must constantly seek the help of God.

Another crucial thing to note is that you need help on your way. I'm particular about who you look up to on your way to the mountain top. Remember before you attach yourself to a leader or mentor, you must ensure that he is higher than you and he is ever climbing. If your leader or mentor is not climbing and you are hooked to him, moving up becomes impossible when you meet at a point and he descends while you want to ascend.
Lesson for leaders: the moment you are not interested in climbing please resign so that those who want to climb can continue climbing.
I'm seeing forward thinkers as having just a choice - to climb, because we are all wired to grow and develop. There is no honour or glory in the valley. If you are living, an infallible proof is progression marked by continuous growth and development. When Christ is in you, you will find yourself constantly craving to go higher both spiritually and physically.

Whatever your position on the mountain, you can still chart a course for yourself, make up your mind to keep climbing, be determined to get to the peak. Be a standard for others. Yes, there is a price to pay, challenges along the way, boisterous winds “creating temporary setbacks” all this are meant to build in you capacity, testimonies, sweet stories and above all to encourage the millions coming behind you to have a ray of hope. You will triumph.

“You've all been to the stadium and seen the athlete’s race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win!” The Book of Books {1 Cor. 9:24}

Be the light, blaze the trail and Always Think forward!

Step Into The Unfamiliar

Do you remember ever walking into a dark room, and you try to find your way around, but stumble into a table,
decoration or door. If it was your room, am sure there would have been less stumbling because you are familiar with your own territory.Familiarity makes us comfortable, at ease, because we know we are less likely to make mistakes or stumble.
