Purpose – The Fire That Keeps Us Going!

A four year old girl had the below conversation with her mum:

Baby: why is the moon round?

Mum: God created it that way my dear.

Baby:  So God created it like that?

Mum: Yes and for a purpose and He does that for everything He made.

Baby:  You mean the purpose God created Dad is to go to the office daily too…

Mum:  No my dear dad had to go to the office to earn a living!

Wow! What a thought from a child.

What has existed first without thought?

What makes you wake up every morning without an alarm?

What can you do selflessly even without pay?

Before you answer the questions please permit me to share some of my little discoveries:

There is something so powerful that:

§   It keeps you focused &  gets you going

§   It keeps you from distractions

§   It ignites passion, create enthusiasm

§   It opens up your destiny

§   Differentiates the relevant from the irrelevant

§   Determines your company, gets the right people in your boat

§   Defines your relationships

§   Makes you an influencer

§   Gives you reason to live

§   Turns labour to joy

§   It makes you overcome setbacks

§   It makes you know you when you are there!

That thing is PURPOSE. An anticipated outcome that is intended.

Remember this:

§   Purpose is the end that makes the beginning of a thing worthwhile.

§   God is a God of purpose.

§   Every man has a purpose. It’s in you.

§   Purpose can be discovered.

While on the journey remember plans may change but purpose does not.  “We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God's purpose prevails” Prov 19:21
