The Ancient Of Days In Infant Skin!

In a manger lies The King
Wrapped in swaddling clothes
In a city named from above
The city of David a Saviour is born
In a manger lies The Saviour

Within the stable a chosen family
To a dying world The Light has shone
From The Refiner a rare refine
To a crooked generation hope is here
In a manger lies The Purifier

Oh! What depth of love
From glory to a manger
From majestic grandeur, ineffable
To a stable unfit undesirable
In a manger lies The Lowly

In a stable with no light
But a lantern to see him The Light
Bright enough to see his smiles
Speaking smiles reaching the heart
With words so audible, words of life
In a manger lies The Light

Peace to earth, goodwill to men
I’m here The Saviour come out of your den
I am the way back to The Father’s embrace
My passionate plea do not decline
In a manger lies The Way

Joy to the world The King is come
The heavenly host in symphonic praise
Heralding the birth of the Blessed One
With joy unspeakable full of glory
In a manger lies The King of kings

He came He gave He offered
His works left the world in awe
That a King could come simply to die
For mankind that we might be saved
The wretched soul is The Light raised
The Ancient Of Days In Infant Skin!

I know words can’t be enough to express or appreciate your coming even eternity won’t do, so I say again - Thank you Merciful Saviour. Thank you Jesus for coming!

Merry Christmas!
